ART AND WRITING CONTEST:

2012 THEME:

“Through the Cross-Cultural Looking Glass”

Diversity is a word we hear often but not enough. Our children encounter more diversity in today’s rapidly globalizing world than ever before. The foundations of awareness and appreciation about diversity are best laid down and fostered at young ages. In order to endorse this goal through visual and verbal methods, we invite all elementary and middle school children in the state of Massachusetts to submit an entry to describe their experience of cultural diversity and what it means to them.

PARTICIPATION DETAILS:

All children (grades 1-8) who are living in Massachusetts can participate. Each child can submit one entry in each category (writing or art). Multiple entries to a single category submitted by the same individual will be disqualified. Winners of the contest will be announced at the Children’s Cultural Festival 2012.

Deadline for submission/postmark deadline: Friday, April 6, 2012.
  • Please read all specifications before submitting a writing or art piece.
